Claire Birch

American author. She has written a Nancy Drew type horsy series about a girl who wins rosettes and solves mysteries with equal aplomb! I think these are the only books she has written. There are quite a few short reviews of the various books in the series on the Amazon website.

Lucy Hill Mystery/Galloping Detective Series:

Collector's Info:
Paperback first editions and reprints. The books are all published by Dell (although may be listed under the imprints of Yearling or Laurel Leaf). They were first published in 1985 under the Laurel Leaf Library imprint, when they were subtitled The Lucy Hill Mystery series. They were then reprinted in the 1990s along with an extra two titles and renamed The Galloping Detective series. Easy to find in their native USA where they are also very low cost. Harder to find in the UK, although they can be bought fairly cheaply from America.
